Web Influenced Sales

W eb influenced retail sales (off-line sales influenced by on-line research) will grow 37% between now and 2015 to $1.55 trillion according to Forrester Research. In 2009, 154 million people in the U.S. bought something online, or 67 percent of the online population, however, web influenced sales are more than five times greater than on-line sales. Nearly two-thirds of North American consumers cross channels when they shop, researching online, then purchasing offline in a store or over the telephone.  When shopping off-line, in stores, consumers often buy more than originally intended.
